Phase 3 Training

Elevator Technicians
Elevator Technicians assist elevator mechanics in ensuring the safety and functionality of an elevator. Elevator technicians will be able to assist in moving and raising elevator components, using hoists, dollies, and rollers, assists in disassembly and assembly of elevator components, using mechanic's hand tools. This training is a 10-week training that includes certifications in OSHA-10 and OSHA-30.
Elevator Mechanics
Elevator Mechanics typically read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of elevator system components. Mechanics are then able select the appropriate equipment needed for installation or repair. Upon training completion Mechanics will be able to assemble, dismantle, test elevator brakes, motors, switches, and control systems. Phase 3’s training program uses a 4-year apprenticeship model to help individuals gain sustainable income while learning an in-depth industry recognized curriculum. Apprentices will earn certifications in OSHA-10, OSHA-30, AET™ (Associate Elevator Technician) certification and all practical knowledge to sit for the Certified Elevator Technician Exam to become a CET™. This exam certifies apprentices under the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) and is nationally recognized.
Elevator Inspector
Inspectors are responsible for performing inspections of elevators, escalators, and various other lift equipment to make sure it is safe or people to use. The Qualified Elevator Inspector certification is to ensure inspectors have the skills, knowledge, and education to safeguard the public by confirming elevators, escalators, and other conveyances are code compliant and operating safely.
