Students enrolled in the Elevator Mechanic Pathway would matriculate through a four-year apprenticeship program. Within the four years students will gain 611 classroom hours and 8000 field hours. All training through Phase 3 Training Corporation will qualify students to be credentialed as Certified Elevator Technicians (CET) through the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC). Students of Phase 3 will be fully equipped to excel in the industry and will learn the following concepts:

  • Machine Room Equipment

  • Maintenance of Hydraulic Elevators 

  • Maintenance of Escalators and Moving Walks 

  • Electrical Safety and Theory 

Year 3

  • Elevator Doors and Equipment 

  • Electric Principles 

  • Electric Elevator Components 

  • Elevator Troubleshooting 

  • Construction Wiring and Equipment 

Year 4

  • Hydraulics 

  • Basic Electronics and Solid State 

  • Elevator Rope Replacement 

  • Machinery Troubleshooting / Repair 

  • Escalators and Moving Walks 

  • Introduction to the Vertical Transportation Industry
