Young Builders IN SCHOOL
Young Builders is a specialized program designed to guide high school students, typically aged between 16 and 20, through the transition from pre-apprenticeship to full apprenticeship readiness, particularly focusing on those attending alternative schools where engagement can be challenging. Partnering with institutions like Career Academy and Foundations, Young Builders offers a comprehensive curriculum with a strong emphasis on STEM-based learning and hands-on experiences in fields such as electrical, solar, and HVAC. The program provides wraparound support services including test preparation, mentorship from industry professionals, and access to technology for students in need. Financial assistance such as stipends during training, driving school support, and transportation assistance are also available. Young Builders administers entrance exams to assess students' academic levels and provides tailored tutoring sessions accordingly. By facilitating site visits to active job locations, Young Builders creates real-world connections, empowering students with the skills and support necessary for success in their chosen career paths.

Young Builders Out of SCHOOL
The Young Builders Out of School Program offers a comprehensive 16-week pre-apprenticeship training designed to thoroughly prepare young adults aged 16-24 for successful careers in high-demand industries. Participants can choose from specialized tracks in electrical, solar, HVAC, and elevator repair, gaining expertise and practical skills in their chosen field. The program provides individualized tutoring and personalized learning plans to help participants meet certification exam requirements and pass apprenticeship entrance tests. Financial support is available through a stipend provided during the training period. Additionally, the program ensures career readiness by offering industry-recognized certifications and placement assistance. Serving young adults in Baltimore City, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, District of Columbia, and Philadelphia, the program is also expanding to Northern Virginia, broadening its impact and reach.

Elevator technicians repair and maintain elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters to meet safety regulations and building codes. Elevator technicians will be able to assist in moving and raising elevator components, using hoists, dollies, and rollers, assists in disassembly and assembly of elevator components, using mechanic's hand tools.

Electrical technicians assist in designing, installing, and repairing electrical systems for residential homes, businesses, schools, and other facilities. Electrical technicians are skilled in ensuring that the electrical wiring is functioning properly and safely installed according to the National Electrical Code.

Solar Technicians perform installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems in residential and commercial settings. Solar Technicians ensure these renewable energy systems are operating efficiently to provide sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions. They work on photovoltaic (PV) panels, solar thermal systems, and other solar-powered devices, ensuring optimal energy conversion and storage.
